The restaurant at Ian Shrager’s London EDITION hotel, under the direction of restaurateur extraordinaire Jason Atherton, is about as far away as you can get from your typical beige, hushed hotel dining set-up. Opulence is this place’s raison d’etre, and the all-day menu in the palatial room heaves with indulgent, pimped-up classic modern brasserie fare from dawn to dusk and beyond. Eager-to-please staff lack airs and graces and give families a warm welcome.
What to eat? The expansive weekend brunch menu offers eggs every which way, and ingredients of the highest order.
Pipsqueak tip The ‘Little People’ menu serves the likes of grilled cod, mini beef burgers or macaroni pasta.
