James Beard nominee Billy Allin is a master at allowing his seasonal ingredients to shine with a creativity that makes this restaurant one of Atlanta Magazine’s Top 5 in the city.
What to eat? Our pipsqueaks feasted on housemade gnocchi and salad layered with blood oranges and burrata. The crispy quail tastes better than any fried chicken you’ve ever had and the farro with roasted vegetables crushes most any meat dish out there. And the cookies — chocolate chip cookies with the perfect ratio of chocolate to cookie and a salty finish that makes you stop not at one, but three (seriously a slippery slope!).
Pipsqueak tip If you’re looking for a quick bite, Cakes+Ale Cafe, just next door, serves perfectly toasted sandwiches and seasonal entrees.
